PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of habeas corpus calling for the entire records connected with the detention order of the respondent No.2 in No. B.C.D.F.G.I.S.S.S.V.No.25/2020 dated 16.10.2020 and quash the same and direct the respondents to produce the body or person of the detenu by name Rajkumar, son of Selvam, aged about 26 years, now detained as "Sand Offender" at Madurai Central Prison before this Court and set him at liberty forthwith.

[Order of the Court was made by K.KALYANASUNDARAM, J.] The petitioner has filed the habeas corpus petition seeking to quash the proceedings of the second respondent in No.

B.C.D.F.G.I.S.S.S.V.No.25/2020 dated 16.10.2020 branding the detenu viz., his husband, Rajkumar, son of Selvam, aged about 26 years, as a "Sand Offender" as contemplated under Section 2(gg) of Tamil Nadu Act, 14 of 1982, detained him at the Central Prison, Madurai and to set him at liberty.

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner Mr.R.Alagumani would state that the detention order impugned in this habeas corpus petition is revoked by the Government.

3. Recording the above submission, the habeas corpus petition is closed.
