This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondent to appoint the petitioner in anyone of the available post in the respondent's department as suitable for the qualification of the petitioner by considering the petitioner's application, dated 25.03.2022.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner's father Mathiyalagan, was working as a Senior Driver (EDP No.D2 30687). He met with a road accident on 21.07.2019 and died leaving behind his family, without any pecuniary safe-guard. The petitioner is the only daughter of the deceased Mathiyalagan. She passed S.S.L.C. She submitted a written representation on 25.03.2022 seeking appointment on compassionate grounds. So far no order has been passed in this representation leading to filing of this writ petition.

It is seen from the records produced that Mathiyalagan, who was serving as Senior Driver in the respondent Corporation died on 21.07.2019 leaving behind the petitioner and her mother as his legal representatives. Now the daughter is claiming employment on compassionate grounds. She submitted a representation in this regard on 25.03.2022 and the same was not considered so far.
5. Considering the genuine claim of the petitioner, this Court directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 25.03.2022, and pass appropriate orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
