This Writ Petition is filed for issuing a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant permission to conduct the Kabadi Competition and to give adequate police protection for the District Level Kabadi Competition which is scheduled from 04.11.2017 at 9.00 pm to 5.11.2017 at 6.00 pm by the "Bose Kabadi Kuzhu" at Kalunneerkulam Village, Thirunelveli District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 14.10.2017. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. Since the event is scheduled to be held on 04.11.2017, the 2nd respondent viz., the Sub Inspector of Police, Veerakeralam

Pudur Police Station, Veerakeralam Pudur, Thirunelveli District is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law on or before 31.10.2017. In case permission is granted to the petitioner the same shall be subject to the conditions or any other specific restrictions to ensure law and order and communal harmony.

4. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
