Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 19.03.2018 after survey the Lands situate in Survey Nos.45/1, 201, 202, 203 and 204 measuring to an extent of Acre 5 and 30 cents in Koothoor Village, Manachanallur Taluk, Tiruchirapalli District, by giving personal hearing to the petitioner.

O R D E R

Since the relief sought by the petitioner is limited in scope, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal and the same is being disposed of as under.

2. The petitioner is aggrieved by the order passed by the third respondent - Revenue Divisional Officer, Lalgudi, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Tiruchirapalli District, dated 27.02.2018, rejecting the request of the petitioner for survey and grant of Patta in his favour in respect of the subject property. As against the said order, it appears that the petitioner preferred an appeal before the second respondent on 19.03.2018. But, till date the appeal has not been disposed of and therefore, the petitioner is before this Court seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus.

3. Since the appeal preferred by the petitioner is pending before the second respondent, the second respondent is directed to dispose of the petitioner's appeal, dated 19.03.2018, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
