Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st and 2nd respondents to change the LCO registration under the 1st respondent in the petitioner's name based on the petitioner's representation dated 17.10.2017. For Petitioner : Mr.B.Prasanna Vinoth For Respondents : Mr.S.Gunasekaran

ORDER

By consent, this writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal. Mr.S.Gunasekaran, learned Counsel takes notice for the respondents.

2.The case of the petitioner is that he is a Cable TV Operator and he got signal service from the respondents. He would further claim that originally the licence belonged to his sister's son P.Vijayakumar and after the demise of the said P.Vijayakumar, the petitioner has approached the authorities for transfer of name and submitted a representation dated 17.10.2017 along with requisite documents. As the said representation is kept pending, without any action, the petitioner is before this Court. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that it would be suffice, if the representation of the petitioner dated 17.10.2017, is disposed of, by the respondents, as per law, within a stipulated time limit.

4.Considering the limited scope of the relief sought for, this Court, without going into the merits of the petitioner's claim, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 17.10.2017 and pass appropriate orders on its own merit and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as all the interested parties, if any, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
