O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking to direct the second respondent not to harass the petitioner with respect to Crime No.141 of 2021 on the file of the second respondent Police.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is no way involved in Crime No.141 of 2021 which is registered for the offence punishable under Sections 294(b), 506(ii) of IPC and Section 3 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Charging Ex-orbitant Interest Act, 2003 and Sections 3(1)(r), 3(1) (s) of Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Amendment Act, 2015. In that complaint, one Thambi name is also mentioned in the First Information Report. The petitioner has not known the above said Thambi mentioned in the First Information Report. During the course of 164 statement, the defacto complainant has also stated that she received a sum of Rs.24,000/- from Murugesan, who belongs to Ayyampalayam.

3. Heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

4. Since the name of the petitioner is found in the First Information Report, he has to co-operate with the second respondent https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P.(MD).No.12134 of 2021 to complete the investigation and there is no question of harassment at the hands of the second respondent. He has to work out his remedy appropriately.

5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
