ORDER

The Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to respondent herein to provide suitable employment to the petitioner under compassionate ground on the basis of his application dated 14.07.2014 within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

2. Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent and perused the materials available on record.

3. The case of the petitioner is that his father namely Murgesan was working as a Water Supply Cleaner under the respondent Corporation and he died on 30.03.2014, while he was in service. Hence, the petitioner has made representation/application on 14.07.2014 to the respondent, seeking compassionate appointment. Since the same has not been considered so far, the petitioner is before this Court by filing this Writ Petition.

4. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent submitted that the representation of the petitioner would be https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

considered within a stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

5. Considering the limited nature of the relief sought for by the petitioner, without going into the merits of the case, the respondent is directed to consider the representation/application of the petitioner dated 14.07.2014 seeking compassionate appointment, if there are no other legal impediments and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. The Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
