ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to file final report in Crime No.179 of 2018 pending on the file of the respondent police. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that based on a complaint given by the defacto complainant, a case was registered in Crime No.179 of 2018 for the offence under Sections 420, 406 and 409 IPC as against the petitioner. He would further submit that after registering the case, the respondent police did not conduct any investigation and hence, he filed this direction petition to direct the respondent to file the final report within a time frame.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police, on instructions, would submit that now, the case has been transferred to the District Crime Branch, Dindigul for further investigation.

4.In view of the above submission, the District Crime Branch, Dindigul is directed to complete the investigation and file the final report, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
