Prayer: Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents 1 & 2 to renew the petitioner's passport on the petitioner's application in No. 100018366609222, dated 14.06.2022 based on his representation dated 29.06.2022.

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. The petitioner had handed over his passport to the travel agent. The said travel agent had come under the adverse notice of the Q-branch. FIR has been registered. But the petitioner is not figuring as an accused. Therefore, there cannot be any impediment for processing the petition mentioned application.

3. The first respondent is directed to process the petition mentioned application and issue passport to the petitioner subject to fulfilment of the other formalities.

4. The Writ Petition is allowed. No costs.
