O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate Valliyoor, Tirunelveli District to complete and conclude the trail in C.C.No.56 of 2020, in connection with Crime No.314 of 2019 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Panagudi Police Station, Tirunelveli District within a time frame as fixed by this Court. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the respondent police registered a case in Crime No.314 of 2019, for the offences under Sections 294(b), 353 and 506(ii) I.P.C on 22.05.2019. After investigation, final report has been filed and the case was taken on file in C.C.No.56 of 2020, pending on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Valliyoor, Tirunelveli District. The trial commenced on 08.10.2020.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioners further submitted that the case was taken on file in the year 2020 and the same is pending for the past two years without any progress. Hence, this court may issue a direction to the concerned Court to dispose of the case as early as possible. 2/5

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent submitted that the case is posted for examination of prosecution witnesses on 23.08.2022.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without going into the merits of the matter, this Court is inclined to give a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Valliyoor, Tirunelveli District to dispose of the case in C.C.No.56 of 2020, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
