ORDER
The instant writ petition is filed challenging the order of the second respondent in Na.Ka.No.5412/C5/E2/2025 dated 16.05.2025 and for a consequential direction to the respondents to appoint the petitioner as Arts Teacher with consequential benefits within the time stipulated by this Court. 2.The petitioner is employed as Lab Assistant in the year 2017. Thereafter, in the year 2024, the petitioner completed the Diploma Course in the subject of Fine Arts and hence, the petitioner is eligible to be promoted as Art Master. However, the candidature of the petitioner was rejected on the ground that the petitioner has not obtained the Diploma course from the universities/board recognized by the university grants commission. Challenging the same, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.
3.The learned counsel for the petitioner fairly submits that though the petitioner has sought for larger relief, it would suffice if the petitioner is permitted to approach the equivalence Committee and obtain equivalence certificate.
4.In view of the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner is directed to approach the equivalence Committee and obtain an equivalence certificate that the Diploma certificate obtained by the petitioner satisfies the recruitment criteria within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Failing which, the respondents shall proceed with the matter in accordance with law. Till such time, one post shall be kept vacant by the respondents. No costs.
