ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking to direct the second respondent to conduct enquiry on petitioner's representation dated 16.06.2017 and further to permit the petitioner to chop the trees.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner owns the land in S.Nos. 521/1, 521/2, 524/3 and 524/4 situated at Vaarpattu Village, Ponnamaravathy Taluk, Pudukottai District, where years of old trees are there posing danger to the safety. Since the attempt of the petitioner to chop the trees was objected by third and fourth respondents, the petitioner sent a representation on 16.06.2017 to the respondents to grant him permission, which is kept pending without any action. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

4.The learned counsel would further submit that it would be suffice to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 16.06.2017 on merits, which is also accepted by the learned to the Special Government Pleader. 5.Considering the limited scope of the relief sought in this writ petition, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 16.06.2017 and pass appropriate orders, on its own merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as all the interested parties, if any, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
