..Respondents PRAYER: Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to convert the classification of Building society area situated in Town Survey No.17, Ward-C, Block-25, Kodaikanal, Dindigul District as Residential Special Class-I, Type-I and Commercial Special Class-I Type-I after fixing its guideline value of the land on par with the guideline value of Mappillai Muthaliar Street (MM Street) by considering the petitioner's representation dated 18.03.2017.

3. In matters of the present kind, there is no question

W.P.(MD)No.15095 of 2021 of a public interest litigation being brought. If any particular purchaser or if any party to a transaction perceives the guideline value to be erroneous, there is an appropriate procedure for challenging the same. In matters of the present kind, locus standi is of great relevance and it is only a person who is aggrieved by the guideline value who may question the same. 4.W.P.(MD) No.15095 of 2021 is dismissed.

There will be no order as to costs.
