O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by N.ANAND VENKATESH, J.] This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to produce the petitioner's wife, namely, Saraswathi, aged about 28 years, before this Court and set her at liberty.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that his wife, namely, Saraswathi, aged about 28 years, went missing from 14.05.2025 and that police are not taking effective steps to secure her.

On instructions, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents submitted that based on the complaint of the petitioner, a case in Batlagundu Police Station Crime No.182 of 2025 was registered for "woman missing" on 14.05.2025 and the preliminary enquiry revealed that the detenue was having a relationship with one Dinesh and that all steps are being taken to ascertain their whereabouts.

4. In the aforesaid circumstances, we direct the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Nilakkottai Division, Dindigul District, to supervise

the investigation in Crime No.182 of 2025, pending on the file of the second respondent and keep the petitioner informed of the developments, if any. As and when the detenue is secured, she shall be produced before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Nilakottai, under intimation to the petitioner. On such production, the learned Judicial Magistrate shall pass appropriate orders.

5. With the above direction, this habeas corpus petition is disposed of.
