ORDER

The Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the impugned F.I.R in Crime No.93 of 2022 on the file of the respondent Police.

2. The case of the prosecution is that at the time of patrol duty and vehicle inspection by the respondent Police along with other Police officials, they found the petitioner and other accused carrying tobacco products in their waist. In this regard, a complaint was lodged and F.I.R was registered in Crime No.93 of 2022 for the offences under Sections 6(b) and 21(1) of Cigarette and other Tobacco products Act 2003.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent submitted that the case has been registered in Crime No.93 of 2022 under Sections 6(b) and 21(1) of Cigarette and other Tobacco products Act 2003. The case has been investigated and final report has been filed before the Judicial Magistrate IV, Tirunelveli on 14.04.2022. 2/4
