This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Sivagiri, Tenkasi District, to expedite the trial pending in C.C No.38 of 2018.
2.The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that though the final report has been taken on file in the year 2018, the same is pending without any progress.
3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police submits that the trial has commenced and it is posted for examination of witnesses L.W.1 to L.W.3 on 22.07.2024. 4.This Court considered the rival submissions made. 5.It is appears that though the final report has been taken on file in the year 2018, the trial Court has not shown any interest to conclude the trial. 2/4
6.Therefore, the trial Court is directed to conclude the trial without any further delay within a period of six months, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7.With the above direction, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
