Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. The petitioner had moved the second respondent by filing a petition under Section 23 of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007. It is stated that for more than seven months, the same is kept pending.

3. The second respondent is directed to dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The second respondent shall put the interested persons on notice before passing the final order.
