This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.06.2017 and give drought relief for the petitioner's agricultural lands in Survey No.133/10A1, 133/1C, 139/3F and 132/5C measuring to an extent of 0.95.5 hectares at Palkulam Village, Kalayarkovil Taluk, Sivagangai District. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission.
3.According to the petitioner, he is having lands in Survey No.133/10A1, 133/1C, 139/3F and 132/5C measuring to an extent of 0.95.5 hectares at Palkulam Village, Kalayarkovil Taluk, Sivagangai District and cultivating the same without any hindrance. Due to monsoon failure in the year 2016-2017 in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
Sivagangai District, the petitioner met with huge loss and hence, he has given a representation dated 19.06.2017 to the respondent, seeking drought relief for his agricultural lands. Since the same has not been considered so far, the petitioner is before this Court with the above prayer.
4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent submitted that if time is granted to the respondent, the representation of the petitioner will be considered and suitable orders will be passed. 5.In view of the above submission, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 19.06.2017 on production of appropriate documents and pass appropriate orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.With the above direction, this petition is disposed of. No costs.
