order made by the 4th respondent, in Permanent Status Case Nos. 6 to 8/2014, 13, 17 and 18 to 36/2014, 38/2014, 39/2014, 42/2014, 43/2014 and 48 to 53 of 2014 dated 31.07.2020, under the Tamil Nadu Industrial Establishments (Conferment of Permanent Status to Workmen) Act, 1981 by absorbing the petitioners in the service of the respondent Corporation and provide all consequential and other attendant benefits within the time that may be stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking implementation of the common order passed by Respondent No.4 in Permanent Status Case Nos. 6 to 8/2014, 13, 17 and 18 to 36/2014, 38/2014, 39/2014, 42/2014, 43/2014 and 48 to 53 of 2014 dated 31.07.2020, under the Tamil Nadu Industrial Establishments (Conferment of Permanent Status to Workmen) Act, 1981 by absorbing the petitioners in the service of the respondent-Corporation and to provide all consequential and other attendant benefits.

2. The very same order dated 31.07.2020, which is sought to be implemented by claiming Writ of Mandamus in the present writ petition, was already set aside by a learned Single Judge of this Court in W.P.(MD) Nos. 7548 of 2022 and batch, dated 21.04.2022, following the decision of the Hon'ble First Bench of this Court in W.P.Nos.4061 of 2013 and batch, dated 07.03.2022 and also by this Court in another batch of writ petitions in W.P. (MD) Nos.7826 of 2022 and batch by order dated 26.02.2024. As the very same order was already set aside and the matter is remanded back for fresh consideration, the question of issuing Writ of Mandamus for implementation of the said order dated 31.07.2020 does not arise. Hence, the relief sought in this writ petition cannot be granted and the same is accordingly dismissed, leaving it open to the petitioners to pursue the matter before Respondent No.4 in accordance with law. No costs.
