PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to sanction additional 4 P.G. Assistant teachers viz. Physics, Computer Science, Economics and Geography and 1 Physical Education teacher to the 5th respondent school, namely , Government Kallar Higher Secondary School, Karunaakamuthanpatti, Uthamapalayam Taluk, Theni District and consequently to fill up all the vacant posts without any further delay. [Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.] The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to sanction additional 4 P.G. Assistant Teachers viz. Physics, Computer Science, Economics, and Geography, and one Physical Education Teacher to the 5th respondent school, namely, Government Kallar Higher Secondary School, Karunaakamuthanpatti, Uthamapalayam Taluk, Theni District, and consequently to fill up all the vacant posts without any further delay.

2. The sanctioning of additional post of P.G Assistant teachers is an administrative decision based on the student strength and other relevant factors. Therefore, the public interest litigation in this regard is not maintainable. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. No costs.
