The petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's application dated 04.04.2016 and pass order transferring the petitioner from Government Kallar Elementary School Centre, No.-81, J.Alankulam, Sorikkampatti Panchayat to the vacant post of Nutritious Meal Organizer in Government Girls' Higher Secondary School Centre, No004, Thirumangalam, within a stipulated period of time as this Court may fix.

Mr.R.Anandharaj, learned Government Advocate, takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the Writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. 3.This Writ petition has been filed by Mrs.P.Aknieswari, seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to consider her application, dated 04.04.2016, seeking transfer from Government Kallar Elementary School Centre, No.- 81, J.Alankulam, Sorikkampatti Panchayat, to the vacant post of Nutritious Meal Organizer in Government Girls' Higher Secondary School Centre, No-004, Thirumangalam.

4.The case of the petitioner is that, in the year 1985, she got appointment under the Puratchi Thalaivar M.G.R. Nutritious Meal programme at Chettikulam Village and, during 2004, she was deputed as Nutritious Meal Organizer at Kallar Elementary School, Ooranda Urappanur. Thereafter, she was transferred to Government Kallar Elementary School Center, No.81 J, Alankulam, Sorikkampatti Panchayat, Thirumangalam Panchayat Union, by an order dated 21.12.2012, issued by the 1st respondent.

5.While she was working in the said School, her sister died unexpectedly and the husband of the deceased, who is working outside the State, left his two children to the care and custody of the petitioner. Therefore, she is maintaining the above two children. The distance between the petitioner's residence and her work place i.e., from Thirumangalam to J.Alangulam, being 20 kms, she has to walk for about 6 kms to reach the work place. Therefore, she has given a representation on 04.04.2016 to the respondents, requesting for transfer to Thirumangalam. But, no order has been passed so far. Hence, she has been advised to file the present Writ petition.

6.But, this Court is not inclined to entertain the request of transfer since it is an issue to be dealt with only by the respondent, and not by this Court. Moreover, the petitioner has also not made out her case for granting the prayer. Therefore, the Writ petition is dismissed as devoid of any merit. No costs.
