O R D E R
The writ petitioner submits that he is the President of Viralimalai Farmers Club. They have insured their crops under Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana Scheme. The seventh respondent is the nodal agency to settle the insured claims. Even though the Viralimalai Farmers suffered crop losses and lodged claims with the seventh respondent, till date their claims have not been settled.
2.The matter came up before this Court. Notice was ordered to the seventh respondent. The learned counsel appeared on behalf of the seventh respondent.
3.This Court directs the seventh respondent to consider the claims of the Viralimalai Farmers lodged under Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana Scheme for the year 2016-17 and settle the claims in accordance with law and in the terms of the scheme in particular.
4.This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
