O R D E R

This Writ petition is filed for issuing a Writ of Mandamus seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to dispose the appeal dated 25.07.2016 which is filed before him in connection with Survey Nos.144/6, 144/7, Sub-divided into 144/6A, 144/6B,144/6C, 144/7A and 144/7B situated at Puliyur Village, Sottathatti Group, Thiruppuvanam Taluk, Sivagangai District.

2. Heard the Mr.T.R.Subramanian, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.S.Alaguthevan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. The petitioner has submitted that an appeal is pending before the second respondent on 25.07.2016, challenging the erroneous classification of his patta land as a natham.

4. I, therefore, direct the second respondent to dispose of the said appeal dated 25.07.2016 submitted by the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.This Writ Petition is allowed. No costs.
