ORDER

The writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent Transport Corporation to release the entire terminal benefits of the deceased viz., R.Jeyabalachandran (Driver No.8481) to the petitioners, on the basis of their joint representation, dated 13.07.2018, within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. By consent of both parties, the writ petition itself if taken up for final disposal.

3. The first petitioner's husband viz., R.Jeyachandran employed as a Driver in the respondent Transport Corporation and he met with an accident on 18.05.2010, while he was in service and died on the same day, leaving behind his wife and other legal heirs. Though the first petitioner's husband died as early as in the year 2010, his terminal benefit was not released by the respondent. Therefore, the first petitioner made a representation to the respondent on https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

13.07.2018, narrating the entire facts. But the same was not considered so far by the respondent. Hence, the petitioners have approached this Court by filing the present writ petition.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that it would suffice, if the representation of the petitioners dated 13.07.2018, is disposed of in accordance with law, within a specified period.

5. In view of the limited scope of the prayer, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioners, dated 13.07.2018 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if there are no other legal impediments to do so.

6. With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
