ORDER

The petitioner seeks an extension of the tenure of the existing Administrative Committee of the Muslim Jamath Wakf, Kottaipattinam.

2. The petitioner states that he was appointed as the President of the Administrative Committee of the aforesaid Wakf by proceedings dated 03.10.2018. The tenure of appointment was for a period of three(3) years commencing from 28.08.2018 and ending on 27.08.2021. The petitioner states that there are proceedings in respect of the increase of the composition of the Administrative Committee. Meanwhile, the tenure of the present Administrative Committee is going to expire on 27.08.2021. Therefore, the petitioner made a representation on 03.07.2021 for the extension of the tenure.

3. Mr.Mohideen Basha, learned standing counsel, accepts notice on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Wakf Board. It is stated on behalf of such Wakf Board that the petitioner's representation https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P(MD)No.15197 of 2021 would be considered and disposed of within three (3) months.

In view of the aforesaid submission, W.P.(MD).No.15197 of 2021 is disposed of by directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.07.2021 and dispose of the same by a reasoned order within a period of three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and any others who would be affected by such decision.

5. Accordingly, WP.(MD).No.15197 of 2021 is disposed of on these terms without any order as to costs.
