O R D E R
The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the second respondent to consider his application for issuance of patta in resect of the property comprised in S.No.241/2 situate at Thammanackanpatti Village, Virudhunagar District measuring an extent of 1360 sq. ft, in the light of the proceedings of the 1st respondent dated 12.01.2024 within the time stipulated by this Court.
2. Heard the arguments of Mr.A.Balaji, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mrs.K.Malathi, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents.
3. The petitioner herein claims right over the subject property under partition deed dated 04.03.2002. He submitted an application before the first respondent seeking issuance of patta in his name. The 2/6
said application was forwarded to the second respondent by the first respondent in his proceeding in Na.Ka.A3/0052/2024, dated 12.01.2024, with a direction to the second respondent to submit a report before the first respondent. Thereafter, there is no progress. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.

The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the first respondent in his proceedings referred by the petitioner, directed the Tahsildar, Virudhunagar District to submit a report with regard to the claim of the petitioner. However, the petitioner impleaded the Tashildar, Sattur as second respondent.

In view of the matter, the first respondent is directed to send a reminder to the concerned Tahsildar viz., the Revenue Tahsildar, Virudhunagar to submit a report as per his directions in Na.Ka.A3/0052/2024, dated 12.01.2024, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The said Tahsildar is directed to submit a report before the first respondent, within a further period of four weeks. Thereafter, the first respondent shall consider the request of the petitioner and pass final orders on its own merits within a 3/6
period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of report from the concerned Tahsildar, after affording reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and other interested parties.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
