O R D E R

This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to provide police protection to life and limb of the petitioner and her family.

2.The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner's husband had borrowed money from various persons. But, he could not discharge the liabilities. Therefore, the petitioner's husband has executed a sale deed in favour of the money lender and then, he died on 01.09.2021. However, the money lenders are harassing the petitioner for the loans availed by her husband.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police submits that the petitioner's complaint was duly enquired and the same is closed as civil in nature since there is cheque case pending between the parties. Also, the parties are directed to approach the appropriate forum.

4.Considering the submissions made, the respondent police is directed to look into the issue and instruct the persons, who are threatening the petitioner, to take recourse only through the appropriate forum and not by threat.

5.With the above direction, this criminal original petition is disposed of. No costs.
