ORDER

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.The petitioner was granted fishery rights for a period of three years. The period expired on 30.06.2021. The petitioner wants further extension. It is not possible to grant the relief as sought for. However, the respondent has undertaken to bring the fishery rights to public auction. The respondent is directed to secure concurrence from the Fisheries Department within a period of two weeks and thereafter hold public auction. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
