Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to consider the application of the petitioner dated 15.02.2013 for providing appointment under compassionate ground in the light of the Government Order issued in G.O.Ms.No.78, Labour and Employment (Q1) Department, dated 21.04.2017 within a time stipulated by this Court. O R D E R

The writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the application of the petitioner, dated 15.02.2013, for providing appointment under compassionate ground, in the light of the Government Order issued in G.O.(Ms).No.78, Labour and Employment (Q1) Department, dated 21.04.2017, within a time stipulated by this Court.

2. Mr.M.Pandia Rajan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents.

3. By consent of both parties, the writ petition itself if taken up for final disposal.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, if the application of the petitioner dated 15.02.2013, is disposed of in accordance with law, within a specified period.

5. In view of the limited scope of the prayer, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondents to consider the application of the petitioner dated 15.02.2013, for providing appointment under compassionate ground, in the light of the G.O.(Ms).No.78, Labour and Employment (Q1) Department, dated 21.04.2017, and pass orders in accordance with law, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
