ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by J.NISHA BANU, J.) The writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to issue Hindu ST-Kattunayakkan Community certificates for petitioner's children namely D.Velavan and D.Sivasankari in view of the order passed in W.P.No.23685 of 2023 dated 01.09.2023 by the Principal Bench of this Court based on petitioner's representation dated 10.05.2022 within a stipulated time as may be fixed by this Court.
2. By consent of both sides, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
3. The case of the petitioner is that he belongs to Kattu Nayakkan community, which is coming under the category of Scheduled Tribe. The petitioner and his blood relatives were issued with Kattu Nayakkan Community certificate. In the year 2022, he applied community certificate to his children, who are pursuing their school studies. 2/6
However, the same was not issued so far. While so, pursuant to the order passed in WP(MD) No.23685/2023 dated 01.09.2023, the petitioner's children are entitled to receive their community certificate. Though the petitioner has got the community certificate, the respondents have not issued the same to his children and hence, the petitioner is before this Court with this writ petition.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that since the petitioner/father is having the certificate, there is no impediment for the respondents to issue the community certificate to his children. However, after conducting enquiry about the genuineness of the certificate, the respondents have not issued the certificate so far. Hence, prays for appropriate direction.
5. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the official respondents.
6. Since the petitioner and his siblings belong to ST Kattu Nayakkan community and the petitioner being the father is having the 3/6
community certificate, there is no impediment for the respondents in issuing the community certificate to the children of the petitioner. Hence, on being satisfied with the genuineness of the community certificate issued to the petitioner, the respondents are directed to issue the community certificate to the petitioner's children within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If at all the petitioner's certificate is put to test and the respondents find that the petitioner is not having the valid certificate, it is always open to them to take appropriate action in manner known to law.
7. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
