ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent Police, in connection with a case in Crime No.432 of 2024, for the offence punishable under Sections 447, 294(b), 353 and 506(ii) IPC, has filed this petition seeking anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the defacto complainant is the Junior Engineer in TNEB. The petitioner's grand father has applied for electricity service connection. Due to the objections raised by the adjacent land owner, there was a delay in erecting the electric pole. Therefore, on 07.06.2024, the petitioner has come to the defacto complainant's office, abused him using filthy language, attacked him with hands, threatened him with dire consequences and also prevented him from discharging duty. Hence the complaint.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 2/4

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent Police submits that three previous cases in Crime Nos.277 of 2024, 164 of 2022 and 45 of 2017 are pending as against the petitioner, before the respondent police station.

5. Considering the nature of offence and antecedent of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant any relief to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
