This writ petition is filed by the petitioner seeking a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to permit him to open his Tea Stall situated at Vijaya Complex, No.602A, Highways Road, Old Bus Stand, Tirunelveli District, during night hours.
2. Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
3. It is represented that the petitioner has made a representation dated 10.10.2017, before the respondents, seeking the aforesaid prayer.

4. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would be suffice, if a direction is issued to the third respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 10.10.2017, on merits, within a time stipulated by this Court.
5. In view of the limited scope of the relief sought for, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's claim, is inclined to pass the following direction: "The third respondent / Inspector of Police, Tisaiyanvilai Police Station, Tirunelveli is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 10.10.2017 and dispose of the same, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and all other interested parties, if any, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
6. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
