O R D E R

The writ petitioner was issued a passport bearing No. G 7012479 in File No. MD 1079746833316. However, his name was wrongly spelt out and his date of birth was also wrongly mentioned. He now seeks corrections of the said entry in his passport. The writ petitioner has placed relevant materials before this Court to show that the said error deserves to be corrected in the interest of justice.

The respondent shall re-issue the passport after carrying out the correction within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly this writ petition is allowed. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
