PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to give adequate police protection to the petitioner's life and limb and also for his property in Survey No.95/21A and 95/8C1 situated at Eriyur Village, Singampunari Taluk, Sivagangai District.

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to give adequate police protection to the petitioner's life and limb and also for his property in Survey No.95/21A and 95/8C1 situated at Eriyur Village, Singampunari Taluk, Sivagangai District.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the matter relates to civil dispute and Civil suit in O.S.No.26 of 1998 was filed and the same was decreed in favour of the petitioner. Against which, they preferred an Appeal in A.S.No.111 of 2002 was filed and the same was dismissed. Against which a second appeal was filed in S.A.(MD) SR.No.5790 of 2005, which was dismissed on 19.07.2017. Now the petitioner seeks police protection to survey the land. He has also made a representation, dated 01.10.2020 to the respondents 1 and 2. So far, no action has been taken by the respondent police. Hence, the present petition. 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 and 2, on instructions, submitted that based on the representation, petition enquiry has been conducted in CSR No.157 of 2020 and the same was closed on 13.10.2020 itself. 4.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 .

Considering the submission made by the learned counsel on either side, the respondents 1 and 2 are directed to issue the copy of the decision taken by them on the petitioner's representation, dated 01.10.2020, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. So that the petitioner can work out his rights in the manner known to law. 6.With the above direction, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
