ORDER

The petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition, seeking a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner on 25.08.2020 under Section 12 of the Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book Act, 1983 within a stipulated time that may be fixed by this Court.

2.By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 3.Mr.M.Muniyasamy, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

4.According to the petitioner, he is in possession and enjoyment of the land in patta No.124504 from the year 1995 onwards. While applying computer patta, he came to know that the second respondent has included the name of his sisters in the patta and issued Patta Nos.49, 530, 1059 and 529 without issuing notice to the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner has approached the first respondent by filing an appeal on 25.08.2020. Though the same was received by the first respondent, he did not take any effective steps. Hence, the petitioner has approached this Court seeking aforesaid prayer.

W.P.(MD) No.15256 of 2020 5.In view of the above, this Court is of the view that if any appeal dated 25.08.2020 as stated by the petitioner is pending before the first respondent, the first respondent is expected to decide the same, after affording opportunity to the parties, who are likely to be affected, within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
