PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to provide passengers' basic amenities according to the Railway Act based on the petitioner's representation dated 21.03.2025.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) With reference to the prayer sought for in the present Writ Petition, the learned Deputy Solicitor General of India appearing for the respondents furnished the details regarding the passengers amenities currently available in Madurai Junction and would submit that all further advanced amenities and facilities will also be provided after completing renovation work. 2.The petitioner / party-in-person would submit that there is no dispensary available in the station to provide first aid and urgent treatment to the needy passengers.
3.In view of the said submission, the respondents shall ensure that the dispensary is made available for the benefit of the passengers travelling in a train in order to meet out the medical emergencies. 2/4
4.With the above observation, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
