ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking directions to the respondents to conduct a proper investigation on the petitioner's complaint dated 31.07.2023 as requested by the District Collector/Inspector of Panchayat, Sivagangai through the proceedings in Roc.No.A2/1624/2023 dated 22.12.2023.

2. The acting President and 6th ward member along with special Officer, who was in-charge when the President post was vacant and panchayat secretary conspired among them to misappropriate the village Panchayat funds to the tune of Rs.1,36,53,022/-. Therefore, the petitioner lodged a complaint before the respondents for taking necessary criminal action and the same was not considered so far. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents on instructions submitted that with regard to the allegation made by the petitioner, a detailed enquiry was ordered to the second respondent. The said order is extracted as follows :

4. In view of the above submission, the second respondent is directed to conclude the enquiry within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No Costs.
