Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this court to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to award a Compensation of 50,00,000/- (Rupees Fifty Lakhs) payable immediately to the petitioner due to negligence and doesn't return back the Auction amount by the respondents, within the stipulated time and render justice.

O R D E R
The petitioner, who was the successful bidder in an auction conducted by the respondent Corporation for leasing and operating a swimming pool, has approached this Court seeking a direction to the respondents to pay damages of Rs.50,00,000/- (Rupees fifty lakhs only).
2. The petitioner submitted that he was declared the successful bidder and had paid the entire lease amount. However, before the expiry of the lease period, the respondent Corporation took possession of the swimming pool pursuant to a status quo order passed by this Court in proceedings initiated by the previous lessee.
3. Aggrieved by the premature loss of possession, the petitioner submitted a representation seeking compensation/damages. His grievance is that the said representation has not been considered by the respondents.
4. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner's representation would be considered in accordance with law within the time frame fixed by this Court. 2/4
5. Recording the said submission, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.04.2026 on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of four(4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
