ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the writ petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 3. Considering the nature of relief to be granted, issuance of notice to the fourth respondent is dispensed with.

2.It is not in dispute that the petition mentioned survey numbers have been classified as "water bodies". It appears that they vest with the Public Works Department. The specific allegation of the petitioner is that the fourth respondent has constructed a house in a water body. 3.We direct the third respondent to conduct survey after issuing notice to the fourth respondent and other interested persons. It appears that the third respondent has already proposed to conduct survey on 14.06.2026. If the 2/4

results of the survey indicate the existence of encroachments in the petition mentioned survey numbers, the same shall be removed by adhering to due process of law. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.This Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
