ORDER
The writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to permit the petitioner to conduct the festival from 13.06.2016 to 15.06.2016 in the stage put up in S.F.No.556 of Nallappudaiyanpatty Village, Kulathur Taluk, Pudukkottai District and to offer Police protection to conduct the festival. 2.Mr.D.Muruganandam, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the
learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the festival is being conducted by the petitioner for several years in order to promote harmony among the villagers; that a representation was given to the fourth respondent, but, however, the same was not considered by the fourth respondent so far and hence, the petitioner is before this Court with this writ petition. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would further submit that as the aforesaid festival is celebrated in a peaceful manner by the villagers, there will be no untoward incident on account of this celebration.
5. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that the fourth respondent would consider the representation of the petitioner dated 01.06.2016 and decide the matter on merits today.
6. In view of the above, the Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the fourth respondent to consider and pass orders on the representation of the petitioner, dated 01.06.2016, forthwith as the festival is scheduled to be held from 13.06.2016 to 15.06.2016.
