Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to grant patta in the Petitioner's name which is relating to S.No.164/2, ad-measuring 3 acre and 10 cents situated at Koovanoothu Village, Nilakkottai Taluk, Dindigul District based on the Petitioner's representation dated 27.01.2016.

Heard both sides.
2.By consent of both sides, the main Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
2.It is the case of the Petitioner that he has purchased the punja land in S.No.164/2 situated at Koovanoothu Village, Nilakkottai Taluk, Dindigul District by means of sale deed, dated 4.6.2009. He is in possession and enjoyment of the same from the date of his purchase and paying the kist for the said lands to the Government. The specific case of the Petitioner is that he had approached the Respondent/The Tahsildar, Taluk Office, Nilakkottai Taluk, Dindigul District time and again for issuance of patta to the property in question, in his name. For the reasons best known to the Respondent, no action has been taken based on his representation and it appears that he is forced to run from https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
pillar to post for issuance of patta. The Petitioner has made a representation dated 27.1.2016 to the Respondent seeking issuance of patta to the property in question. Till date, his representation has not met with any positive response. Hence the Petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition before this Court.
3.In view of the fact that the Petitioner's representation, dated 27.1.2016 has been kept pending till date, without any progress, this Court, in the interest of justice and fair play, directs the Respondent to look into the representation of the Petitioner dated 27.1.2016 with all earnestness and seriousness and dispose of the same on merits, by passing a reasoned speaking order(of course after providing necessary opportunity to the Petitioner and others concerned, if any by adhering to the principles of natural justice in true letter and spirit ) within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is open to the Petitioner to produce copies of all necessary/relevant documents before the respondent/The Tahsildar, Taluk Office, Nilakkottai, Dindigul District and on production of the same, the Respondent shall take into consideration of the same at the time of disposal of the representation of the Petitioner, dated 27.01.2016.
4.With the aforesaid observations and directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
