Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of MANDAMUS, directing the respondents to consider and - dispose the petitioner's representation dated 23.03.2026 seeking to recover the temple land situated in Survey No. 755/1, Block No. 20, Sivakasi, belonging to Arulmigu Sri Bhadrakaliamman Mariamman Temple, from the control of private individual within the period that may be stipulated by this Court.
ORDER
The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to consider and dispose the petitioner's representation dated 23.03.2026 seeking to recover the temple land situated in Survey No. 755/1, Block No. 20, Sivakasi, belonging to Arulmigu Sri Bhadrakaliamman Mariamman Temple, from the control of private individual within the period that may be stipulated by this Court.
2.The petitioner is seeking to issue free house site. This Court without expressing any opinion on merits is directing the 4th respondent to consider the petitioner's claim and representation, dated 23.03.2026 based on the government orders issued to this house site patta and also the rules framed to the said scheme. If the petitioner is coming within the purview of the said government order, the 4th respondent shall consider the petitioner's claim and grant any government puramboke land to the petitioner in accordance to law. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3.With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
