ORDER:- Criminal Miscellaneous Petition coming on for orders on this day and upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Thiru.N. Anandakumar, Advocate for the Petitioner and of Thiru.R.M.Anbunithi, Additional Public Prosecutor (Crl/Side), Government Advocate for the respondent(s), this Court made the following order: This petition has been filed to extend the time to execute the order passed in Crl.O.P(MD).No.5500 of 2021 dated 19.04.2021 on the file of this Court.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that by order dated 19.04.2021, the petitioner was ordered to surrender before the concerned Court within a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order/uploading this order. Due to pandemic situation, he was unable to surrender before the concerned Court in time. Therefore, he filed a present petition for extending the time to surrender.

3. Heard both sides.

4. Considering the pandemic situation and the closure of the Courts, this petition is ordered and two weeks time is granted to the petitioner to surrender before the concerned Court as ordered by this Court from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
