PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to direct the respondents 1 to 4 to give adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner, based on the representation dated 10.10.2020.

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 to 4 to give adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner, based on the representation dated 10.10.2020.

2. The petitioner seeks police protection stating that the fifth respondent and her relatives not allowed him to enter into his house and giving life threat to him. He has also made a representation dated 10.10.2020 to the respondents 1 to 4. So far, no action has been taken by the respondent police. Hence, the present petition.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice, if a direction is issued to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 10.10.2020 and give police protection, if it is necessary.

4.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 to 4.

Considering the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the respondents 1 to 4 are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 10.10.2020, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If necessary, the respondent police is directed to give police protection to the petitioner. If it is found that police protection is not necessary, based on the petitioner's complaint, the representation shall be rejected and the same shall be communicated to the petitioner so that he can work out his rights in the manner known to law.

6.With the above direction, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
