This writ petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to dispose of the proceedings initiated in Na.Ka.No.1548/2017 A3 dated 28.03.2017.
2. Mr.M.Alagathevan, the learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the 2nd respondent. Notice to R1 is dispensed with, as no adverse order is going to be passed against him in this petition. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The case of the petitioner is that he has filed a petition before the 2nd respondent for declaration of the settlement deeds in Doc.Nos.1222 and 1223 of 2015 registered in favour of the 1st respondent to be null and void and the said petition has been numbered as Na.Ka.No.1548 of 2017/A3 dated 28.03.2017. Since the said petition has been kept pending without any further progress, the petitioner is before this Court with the above prayer. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that if a reasonable time is granted to the 2nd respondent, the petition filed by the petitioner will be disposed of.
5. In view of the above submission and also considering the fact that the petitioner is a Senior Citizen aged about 79 years, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the 2nd respondent to consider the petition (numbered as Na.Ka.No.1548 of 2017/A3 dated 28.03.2017) and dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and the 1st respondent.
