Prayer: This Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. to direct the third and fourth respondents to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and his family members life and limb on the basis of the representation given by the petitioner on 27.08.2018.

ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking for police protection.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner's

father does not have a good relationship with the family. The petitioner and the other elders in the family decided to solemnize the marriage between the petitioner and one Chandraleka. The fifth and sixth respondents who are the father and Aunt of the petitioner are obstructing the said marriage and are causing disturbance. It is the further case of the petitioner that the marriage is scheduled to be held on 12.09.2018 and there are several chances of the fifth and sixth respondent coming and interfering and causing disturbance during the marriage function. Hence the petitioner has given representation to the third and fourth respondent to provide police protection.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the representation has already been received by the respondent and taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, necessary protection will be given by the police.

4. In the result, the third respondent is directed to provide necessary protection during marriage that is scheduled to be held on 12.09.2018 and ensure that the fifth and sixth respondents do not enter the marriage hall and cause disturbance to the marriage function.

4. With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
