ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 448, 294(b), 324 and 506(2) of IPC and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002 in Crime No.277 of 2021, seeks anticipatory bail.
2. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), on instructions, would submit that the petitioner had earlier moved an anticipatory bail Petition in Crl.OP(MD)No.11976 of 2021 and without referring the same, the present petition has been filed. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the earlier petition was filed at the stage when the case was not https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
CRL OP(MD). No.12243 of 2021 registered. Subsequently, when the case was registered, the earlier petition was withdrawn and this petition is filed mentioning the Crime Number.
4. Though the learned counsel for the petitioner claims that the earlier petition was withdrawn, the same has not been mentioned in this petition. Hence, this petition is dismissed with a liberty to the petitioner to file a fresh petition mentioning the earlier petition.
