Prayer: This Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. to direct the Inspector of Police, District Crime Branch, Madurai District not to harass the petitioner and his family members without following due process of law under the garb of conducting an inquiry.

ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the Inspector of Police, District Crime Branch, Madurai District not to harass the petitioner and his family members without following due process of law under the garb of conducting an inquiry.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is not involved in any offence and he is often called by the police and harassed

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that job racketing case is pending against the maternal uncle of the petitioner and the petitioner was called by the police only to ascertain the whereabouts of the maternal uncle who is absconding. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. If the police wants to enquire the petitioner, they shall issue summons to the petiitoner and the petitioner shall not be harassed inthe name of enquiry.

5. The Criminal Original Petition is closed with the above direction.
