Respondent PRAYER:Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent ie., the Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Chennai to pass appropriate orders on the appeal, dated 04.04.2014 preferred by the petitioner against the orders of dismissal passed by the Joint Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Cuddalore in his proceedings No.R.C.2495/2-12(g), dated 24.02.2014 on merits and in accordance with law within a specified time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

ORDER
Mr.M.Mohandoss while serving as Senior Inspector/Sale Officer in Cuddalore District Central Co-operative Bank holding additional charge as Special Officer of Chidambaram Divisional Government Aided Higher Secondary School Teacher's and Employees Co-operative Thrift and Credit Society, suffered an order of dismissal pursuant to the disciplinary proceedings initiated against him for certain charges, vide order, dated 24.02.2014 passed by the Joint Director of Co-operative Societies, Cuddalore. Aggrieved by the said order of dismissal, the petitioner has filed an appeal on 04.04.2014 before the Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Chennai. The grievance of the petitioner is that he was https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ dismissed from service in the year 2014. Correctness of the dismissal order has to be properly considered by the appellate authority by
disposing of his appeal.
2. Mr.T.R.Janarthanam, Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent and seeks three months to dispose of the appeal.
3. Considering the limited scope of the prayer made and also considering the long pendency of the appeal filed by the petitioner, dated 04.04.2014, the respondent is directed to dispose of the appeal on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
