*********** [Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice.] This writ petition has been filed by the priest as well as Samiyadi of Kamatchiamman Temple at Poosaithurai Village, Pudukkottai District, seeking orders on the respondents to consider the representation filed by him and remove the encroachment in the temple premises, maintained by the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment Department. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. It appears that action has already been initiated by the Department. A reference may be made to an order No.119/2016/J, dated 16.08.2016, a copy whereof has been made over to us in this Court.

Since action has already been initiated by the respondents, no order need be passed by this Court. It is expected the action under Section 78 of the Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Act, 1959, shall be completed expeditiously, preferably within eight weeks from the date of communication of this order. No costs.
